DESCRIPTION OF THE PORT: Pier is situated on Dardanelles
straits at Asian coast close to Canakkale city center
ANCHORAGE AREAS: Vessels may anchor in depths of
12 to 16 fathoms. (see straits anchorage areas) (Information
on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station)
PILOTAGE: : is compulsory for berthing and unberthing
and anchoring, provided by the TDI (The Turkish Maritime
Organization) Pilot.VHF channels 71, 16.
TOWAGE: and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by
pilot and provided by the TDI (The Turkish Maritime Organization).
BERTHING: Agents require at least 24 hour notice
to arrange berthing at Canakkale pier.
